Junk-Stripper That Plugs Into Your Browser

I thought many people might appreciate my passing on a tip from Tim Gleason, who administers the web site. If I'm trying to watch a movie, listen to a radio show, or simply have a plain conversation, I don't want a dozen other people jabbering in my ear about things I'm not interested in. Likewise, when a web page that I'm trying to read comes accompanied by reams of ads, popups, cartoons, and other such clutter, I feel equally distracted and irritated. Well, it turns out there's a simple utility available called Readability that will clean it all out. You simply add it as a link to your Favorite/Bookmark list, click on it after the offending piece has been loaded, and the junk magically disappears, leaving a clean text file, but with included links preserved, that you can read with equanimity and store.
